Will the stock T4 oil pump be good enough for a 2.7engine? Enough pressure with 2 oil coolers, one at the front of the car, the other on top of the gearbox? :(

Hi,
Are you familiar with Gerd Tafel's car? He's is a well known tuner in Germany and his 2733 cc puts out about 225 streetable hp in his mex. 0-62 mph in 4,5 seconds !!
He uses the stock 24mm pump only...
You may or may not make up your own conclusions.

Take care,
Walter

I'll use it and see how it goes! Guess should be alright! Thanks Wally. :)

It has everything to do with your internal tolerances. small pumps need tighter tolerances for adequate oil pressure.

I run looser tolerances and bigger pumps, keeps things nice and wet.

Thanks Jake, I have 30mm and stock T4 pump will try both. I like it tight, nice and wet too! :p Do I need to fill up to level for oil to test or is there a min. level? :)
