I just got a used Rabbit pump that I need to install.
I think both Brian and Pete are also using this pump ?

How and where did you mount the pump ?
I'd like to mount it near the engine, so that I don't have a high pressure
line running under the car, but I am not sure how well this pump
sucks (pun intended).

Also, did you have to change the pickup in the tank ? Or is it big enough ?

Thanks,

Rob.

You will need a pressure regulator for whatever application you are using. Stock FIs are generally in the 20-60psi range, carbs are in the 1.5-5 psi range. Check what you need and check what the rabbit puts out.

Most pumps are best installed directly below the gas tank, so in a bug you won't be able to do what you want. However, regulating the fuel pressure may solve that issue if you have carbs by putting the regulator directly after the pump.

Good luck.

hi Rob,

i have my fuel pump in the front under the tank. had a fitting welded to the tank so i could use a 1/2" line to feed the pump. have it set at 42psi, and could get 60 psi easily with the pump. there is a channel between the running board and floor pan. that is where my fuel, and return line are.
