ok i got some insperation to work on my motor.
when i got it back from the shop that did the work it had a crank pulley on it(i don't remember it going in with one  )
so i'm trying to remove it and i cannot for the life of me get the bolt to budge. i even went as far as trying my torque gun but with no results. anyone got any ideas.

If it is a Type 1 the pulley bolt should be torqued to 36 ft. lbs. and is standard thread (righty tighty - lefty loosey). If the engine is out of the car you will need to use a flywheel lock tool and break the torque in a CCW direction. If it is in the car put it in gear and lock the "E" brake.

yeah i've got a flywheel lock on and i used my torque gun (which goes to 230 lbs) and it's not moving.
i put some liquid wrench on there and i'm letting it soak in . but i dunno 230 lbs and the bolts not budging

Is the bolt in at an angle as if it were cross threaded. If the shop that put it on used red loc-tite you might need some heat to get the bolt off.

Wow. I would take it back to the shop and tell them you want to watch them remove it. Then inspect the threads in the end of the crank. If they are "F'ed" up tell them you want a new crank installed.

i'd be very surprised if the screwed it up. they are a very well known motor shop here in ontario.
i'm pretty sure they probably used loctite of some sort. i'll give them a call in the mornin. but there's no way in hell i'm gonna use the nasty old stock pulley thats there.
thanks for the advice guys.
