A while back I read somewhere that you can raise the engine and transmission to gain more ground clearance when the car is lowered.
Anybody done this ? Is it hard / easy to do ?
Thanks,
Rob.

I don't know if the whole kit would work on an IRS car but at least the rear mount would.

Ever thought about chopping up your oil pan to expand it horizontally while shrinking it verticlly. I saw someone modify their oil pan so that it looked like a "deep sump" kit for a VW engine. That and you could always get a remote oil filter adapter kit to move the filter from harms way. :)

I think he has a problem with the very deep oil sump of his Subaru engine...
We did warn him months ago tho :p
Do you already have the special Subu low sump cover (I read somewhere that they exist)?
Although you didn't ask for an opinion, personally I think its too much hassle to raise the entire body for the problem at hand.
Good luck tho,
Walter

I'm not sure if that is a problem (yet). There are shorter pans available, but I'm just looking at all the options. WHen you lower the car a lot, the driveshaft angle also changes, you could raise the tranny/motor to correct this.
