Hesitating

My `67 bug is hesitating very rough. Basicly when I go into second it seems either the there is not enough gas getting to the carb (32pict), I have checked the fuel line and changed the fuel filter or somehow the fuel is not being burned so it is skipping. I DON'T KNOW. When I get up enough speed it smoothes out mostly in third but not completely.
Any ideas???

Try checking all electrical connections. How old are you spark plugs?

might need to blow out your carb jets too.

Spark plug wires too, and ground on the battery.

I am not sure which of the remedies I did that made it work smooth, but at least now she has had a full tune up and I cleaned up the carb. Thanks again.
