Fellows,
Does any of you know if there are connecting rod bearings availible that are -1,00 mm oversize ?

I have a rather rare (nowadays) Oettinger 80 mm stroke Chr-Moly crank with 50 mm rod journals (same as standard 2 liter rods), but it apperently has had its last grinding and is now 0,06 mm (one rod, the others are 0,03 mm) beyond its 0,75 undersize... I am told that this is too much play. How do you feel about the wear limit? Is it?

Since a new crank comes to about $1,500,-- (Scat), I'am very keen on saving this one, as you understand.
Here in Europe, the major manufactors (Glyco, Kolbenschmidt) don't make -1,00 mm rod bearings. Last size is -0,75 mm.

Jake? (please?, I'am desperate)

Thanks in advance,
Walter

I have some, they are very very old and I traded for them along time ago....they make things really weak!

Excellent Jake,

You seem to be the saviour of my crank (and my nerves)!
What do I pay you for a set and how will I pay you, since I live in Europe.

BTW What do you mean by 'they make it weak'
Hope to hear from you once more (despite your appr. 500 (!!!) E-mails a day; How do you cope?..).

Walter
