It helps a lot for highway driving
Allthough if you are running extremely low you beat it up pretty bad
it is pretty tough for scrapes but it doesn't take sharp impacts to well

steering
The steering box and related items pitman arm etc......
will be one of the biggest hurdles.
we have many RHD Type 1's here both standard and supers and it is very hard to find the steering parts....

defrost vs non
They probably would use the defrost lines to hide the edges of the strips.
Usually on a curved widow you have to cut the film into strips to do it properly but hiding where the strips meet is...

Dave your tie rods unless already flipped by someone should attach to the spindle from above. I think trying to flip them would introduce some severe angles and may cause the bump steer steve...
