Sound deadening/insulation alternatives

I know about Dynamat, but it's a little pricey. What are my other alternatives?

I've looked at the silver insulation type stuff that Eastwood sells. I've thought of putting that over a liquid deadner. Might run into cost again. And aren't most liquid products just glorified undercoating? I'd read that somewhere.

I'm most interested in killing the noise, insulation is just a bonus.

Thoughts?

Just a suggestion but have alook in your local roofing shop. There is a type ot insulating underfelt that is physicaly so like dynamat but half the price. I have been wondering about gettin some to try myself. It is insulation after all! If your interested I can find out the name of it after the weekend.

Yeah, I've also looked into the stuff by McMaster-Carr or whatever their name is. I was kinda hoping for a liquid though. Seems it would be a lot easier to apply.
