if you are going to rebuild it, that is fine.
I would probably replace the heads with either 1.8 or 2.0 914 heads. I didnt mean to say that only a 2.0 914 motor was good. I only meant that it was the way to go if you were going to go with a stock running motor and not rebuild it.
