I'm pretty sure you can run a 17x7 et 55mm Porsche wheel on the front of a standard bug with redrilled drums and adjustable beam with no rubbibg problems.
Do you have the June issue of VW trends ? Or was it May ? FLAT wrote a pretty cool article on what fits what with what mods. That should give you a good start. Sandeep
