More GL bus progress...

It's been tough going the past month. No time to work in the garage and no money to spend on parts. I have been making good use of the time I've had though.
Rear tubs are in and ready for me to repaint the eng bay.
Front tubs are in and waiting for some grinding and a little putty.
NACA ducts are in and I am STOKED on how they look! I had them set up to be bonded in with no visable fastners but I went with stainless button heads instead. Many will cry ricer but to me it really gives the bus some edge, an industrial feel...
As always, don't hold back on the comments, I wouldn't post if I couldn't take the heat!

I know you're joking John, but that is the first thing everybody asks...
I have to show them the stock bench which is thick as a box spring mattress and show them the new sport seats for it to make sense. The tub is 2.5" higher and even with the thinner seats it still does raise the seating position a little... but hey, sacrifices had to be made!:silly:

Thanks Rob,
Not a lot new to report just yet, so I really don't have any updated pics. Stay tuned though, in the next couple of weeks I will be posting some highly controversial pics of recent developments !

Love it Panel! Keep it coming!

... Mine is all in pieces at the moment in the garage... Hopefully a few more weeks! Granted mine is very mild compared to yours, so the work level is entirely different.

Not too controversial if you browse those 'other' forums already

Controversial..... Controversial..... a WATER COOLED MOTOR IN A VW

So what it's YOUR van, what's the differance between installing a water cooled F**d engine & a Porsche engine ? neither are original.

Original VW's are nice, Custom VW's are cool but not much can beat a great looking GL Dub

Thanks everybody. I bought it specifically to do this to it.
I enjoy the fully restored stuff and appreciate the amount of work it takes to go that way, it's just not my way. SO Glad everyone keeps an open mind here.
