Porsche 914, 911 and other guage question

My 914 speedo hooks right up to my standard beetle cable. I've read that the speedo might be off by about 10 % using this method, buy my front tires are about 10% smaller in diameter so it should work out.

I don't look at my speedo anyways ... just drive as fast as everyone else is driving ...
