well i finally got a response back from vdubcustoms but all they said was they think 98 civic coils are wider than older ones and have a stiffer spring rate and they didn't recommend i use them but i already had the car apart again and had them half way installed so i went ahead and put them on. well they are definatly stiffer.....as in almost no suspension travel at all. i think i will just order thier kit and call it done.

yes 18 x 7 wheels will fit. You will not need to use a spacer, but will definitely need a narrow strut.
Seeing as you are lowered 2.5", you will probably need to run a 215/35/18 or 205/40/18 (if they make this size). Any thing wider or taller will probably rub.
