plate unless a spacer were used underneith the rotor (on top of the hub) Which rotors have you used? Are the just 83 ventilated 944 S style, (non turbo) ?
Rear rotors were 86 only 944t #951-352-041-01 (that part numer is for crossdrilled - I believe you omit the 01 for non crossdrilled)

all, the backing plates.... I've tracked down a pair of aluminium backing plates with the emergency brake assemblies from a 86 944 turbo. I'm pretty sure these are what
Yes - they will "work".....there may be some leakage at the axle flange when using the 944 aluminum backing plates. That's how I had it set up at first. After a high speed run down the highway - I would get seepage at the backing plate - not horrible - but enough to bother me.

http://www.mbt-engineering.de/ makes a set of backing plates that uses the stock bearing cap and gaskets (as you can see from my pictures) so theres -no- leakage. I've got a few sets of these backing plates if anyone else (in the U.S. and/or Canada) is interested. Being as I'm in the U.S. it may be cheaper for you (in Queensland) to go directly through MBT.
