hey Sandeep,
i'm not able to PM you so: i have aluminum rod in 1' and 1/2'. which is 25.4mm and 12.7mm. i can turn down the ends of the 1' rod to 15mm, but the rest of it will be huge. i think the 12.7mm rod will work as your using set screws, and its not a press fit. want to give it a try? i'll continue looking for some 3/4 rod, so it's not bulky as the 1' rod will be.
