944 Brakes

so i get the 944 hub front back on monday . its all ready for a type 1 spindle. that was 600 bucks i know its alot of cash but its going to cool ...will post some pics soon. he said that he could do it for 450 now that he has all the measurements to do the job. so if any body want 944 brakes you will need to send me front hub and spindle bearings and calipers.just shoot me a e mail thanks

SO IAM STILL waiting to get my front hub and spindle back from mr machinest guy all this time he has been waiting for a tap.. maybe friday.... when i get it back i will post pic's..

Who'd you have do them? You could have probably saved a few bucks going to Vdubcustoms. I'm going another direction with my brakes, but I've heard nothing but good things about them and I've also emailed Lanner, the owner, and he was really helpfull answering my questions. I understand it's a little too late to use Vdubcustoms, but you might need other parts to convert your Porsche brakes.

i think that vdub customs is a little costly.....

It's $250 USD (309 cad) for the machine work and bearings from vdub customs if you already have the hub, rotor, and caliper. Billet is what costs you....

I thought the hubs could be adapted by machining collars to adapt the Vw spindle to a porsche bearing hub.

is this what you were getting from the machine shop?

It's only money, you'll earn more. I'm sure everyone would like to see some pics.


Small change in NA converisons, now priced at $C299 ($US240).
Billet hubs and brackets are $C599 ($US481).
