Well, if no body knows then do you know where I should ask this question?

You do know that the wide5 racing rims come in 17" about as narrow or wide as you want to go for about 1/4-1/2 the price of Porsche rims.

I think youre confusing semantics here. The "wide 5" is just a name cause its a huge pattern. You may as well ask if ford blue is the same as nissan blue since theyre both blue. You really need to know the actual dimensions of the pattern on the rims you want to use. Once you know that, either find premade adaptors or have some billet ones fabricated

That was the problem I was running into. I e-mailed Wilwood but, they never responded. I was wondering if they were close enough to use adapters because, they are both so huge and if somebody knew what size the racing ones were.

Hey Bebobug,
Try this link, it will answer your question about the Starlite "55" hub by Wilwood. http://www.wilwood.com/Products/004-...-S55/index.asp Page down to the "View Technical Drawing, click here." and it will show you what you do or don't want to see and know, 260mm is the bolt center pattern for this hub, VW is 205. |

Hey Bebobug,
I've come to the conclusion that the reason that technical questions often scare people here on the net is because they have a fear of sticking their foot in their mouth and discovering what it taste like..., IN FRONT OF THE WORLD.David |
