running with different spacers is fine i run 20mmand 30mm on the back, i was talking to eddy remmele about this and he said it is normal when going to wider tires to need slightly different offsets,he said he has put wider wheels on bmw's where the axle has been out to the bodywork , on beetles the body is bolted onto the pan so some discrepancy to the bodywork is normal , i was talking to a garage about this and he said the tolerance on a vauxhall nova back axle is up to 10mm from the factory!!!

thanks for the reply guys,
the clearance issus is wheel to spring plate on a 1303, one side is 5mm closer than the other, this could be due to tracking adjustment not being set yet. that deals with the why, so running with different spacers is ok., i will proceed to make some 6mm spacers, out of plate and pull the washers out that i have been using. as for hubcentric, they aint, co sthey are on the rear with CB perf rear disc setup, there is no lip to locate a spacer or wheel off for that matter, very similar to the stock arrangment where the bolts pull the wheel in centerally. |
