For me best choice is the 69mm counterweight (new) with no more than 8:1 (7.5 is fine) , more than 1.6 you need more $$ , search more power in header/muffler, air filter, and cbperformance 34pic upgrade, (big venturi) and polish your port´s. For a 1699cc you need a single weber 40 IDF with a low engleW100 (torque) then you feel the diference vs. the 1584cc .... For race it you need 40´s and a engleW130
