Malcolm,
Its just sitting on the floor in the pics, I'll start a whole thread once the adapter comes in and I start trying the mockup. Jeff-

You know what I'M thinking.... Audi tranny, ecotec mid-engine,coilover conversion with double-wishbone rear end, throw in a turbo for good measure... Hey, you know Hugo might be able to shed some light on that...
}:]OOops, You know there was a nasty rumour going around that Jeff was a threadjacker......He also tries to get others to join him in his online mischief. Jason

Brian,
I really like the clean look of your 'vert. I'm sure now that you're doing a hard shell, it's gonna look as smooth as the pics you picked to build from. Those type of deals just don't happen in my part of the country, VWs here are completely worn into nothing or swiss cheese or both. I would love to find a commuter ride like that and build it just like you said. I paid $500 just for the shell/pan you see in the pics, it is rust free but thats about it, pretty rough all over. Nice start Brian. Looks good for $500. A complete running and driving car is worth at least $1,200-1,500 in our area. Maybe more depending on the body, pans, interior...
I managed to get my Ghia shell, an early body '64 on an IRS pan '74 with brand new uninstalled floor pans, for $300. It's not perfect, but for $300 I can't complain at all. Quote:
