Wiebrand,

Some nice progress on your car. Wish I could make progress as quick as you can. At the moment there is just way too much stuff that keeps me away from my car!

Anyway, I meant to ask about that ebrake of yours. Now that you have gone hydraulic with it, why do you still need the cables?(or am I just being REALY daft here!?)

@ajsyrup;
Here's an link of the picturealbum with all the pictures I got from the handbrake. It's al welded together by ourself. And I use an 22mm HRC for it. If I make it the next time and have more money to spend I would use an smaller HRC that is maked for use on hydraulic handbrakes (needs less room then this one).

@Lurv;
There are verry verry much hours in it, don't know how much. But I worked on it for more then 4 years now. (I work on it almost every sunday (an half day) and 1 evening every week)

I still think it's going verry slow, but I don have so much time for it. Otherwise I was much further after 4 years, but yeah.

I need the cables for the yearly OT here in Holland. The handbrake have to be an undepended, lose system.

Tonight found some time to work on the body again. In an hour a third of the spare-tire-piece-of-metal was cut out. Tommorow more.

Last week sandblasted some pieces of the spare-tire-thing.

Tonight found some time. And after 1,5 hour of cutting, grinding and welding it looks like this.

Is more for cutting and turning brake "corners" in the future (maybe some histo-rallys), but it can also be used as daily e-brake.

another stupid question i just thought for safety purposes an e brake should be cable driven not hydraulic just curious cause i am in the progress of my brake setup and i tell would be hell of a lot easier to do hydraulics then cables just curious

thanks for answering all the stupid questions
