Outstanding stuff Wally!
I'm not well versed in 411/412 original equipment. Are the original rear hubs, and brake drums like Type III parts, with a drum that's removable from the hub? That's impressive how you engineered the spacers.

Yes, the rear drums of a 412 are in fact most all type III parts. All, but the rear hub. That unique rear hub is what neccesatated the complicated spacer. I have long thought it wasn't possible to use 944 parts and not having to weld anything on the arms, but suddenly, on a bright moment, I got the right idea and a friend from a friend was able to make what I had in mind After that it was a 'bolt-on'. |

Yep, I thought the hub and stub axle looked a little strange to me. Never seen a VW or Porsche hub without an axle nut before.
Looks like the parking brake shoes will be easier to service with the hub machined that way as well.
