That's good stuff Nigel. Glad to see it happen.

I like how it looks kinda stock until you look closer and see the shroud. Then you know, and thus you say "Hey dude, what'cha got in there? One of them big block Volkswagen engines?"

Thanks for the kind words. I am going to pass on the plywood though Wrench!!!!!

I need to fix the backfiring through the carbs which it does sometimes usually after sitting idling in traffic for a while and then taking off and when it is cold. It seems to idle OK with an occasional skip or miss. It does not always do it but it is loud backfiring sometimes when I am accelerating!!!!

Your linkage might be out of sync alittle. (it takes awhile to get them just right), jetting is off, or air leak maybe? What kind of carb syncronizer do you have?

Looks great!!

I'm glad that you like the upgrade!!

hey Nigel, do you want to be a guest on the Radio show in two weeks? I think it would be a great thing to explain the differences in the car that you have noted having driven it with both types of power!

Dear Beth,
Plase help me finish the basement this weekend so I can finish your engine at home :-)
