basically it. so the window is just slightly larger (3/16") than the inside edge of the lip the seal goes over, correct? that at least gets me in the ballpark, which i think i was already in. i may still be a little long front to back.
i am going to take one more stab at the install (before triming more) and make sure i seat the window all the way forward when pulling in the back and visa versa. i have a foam headliner which is a little thicker than a stock one when wrapped over that lip that may not let the seal seat itself firmly down until forced to or the window is all the way in. thanks for the info.

Correct... :agree: Glass is slightly larger than opening.
