Fitting a type 2

I haven't fit anything up yet, but what am I going to need to drop a type 2 box in my 1302? axles? will it fit without cutting? Will I still be able to have it mounted further forward to fit the EJ20? Anybody here done this? Thanks.

I believe Gene Berg still sells adapter kits (BUS600L) to fit a 002 tranny in a bug. The axles are the easy part. Their kit keeps stock like placement of trans, and shifting.

fittment is an issue of sohc and dohc engine choice / dohc you will need to move trans foward 2 inches or cut body work can move bus box/ 915 you will need to cut torsion tube Berg kit is for using type 1 nose cone 915 will take 300 hp and type 2 will take 300 built up 4 speed is fine depending on what you want the car for.
