aircooled waterboxer motor

hey guys, iwas wondering if anybody had good or bad things to say about changing a waterboxer bus engine into an air cooled. i just like the look of the block,and it has a place for an oil filter made into it.i also would like to know if there is a place i can get more info on this conversion, and maybe a good block.

Hi

They are often called Oxyboxers, do a search here and on Shoptalk for more info. I had a friend did some pretty clever things to one in a drag car using Type 1 after market cranks etc.

A few other shops are machining the cases also, but this is the main one.
