If you can weld, even OK, you could cut and fab new mounts using the originals for parts. Use what ever tubing would work best with your slides....JR

About the bracket/sliders... I'm using sparco seats like Bogaro-ZO. My bug is a 1972 super. Do you cut the original brackets off the floor and fab new ones? Or can you purchase something from Sparco to work with existing brackets? I have purchased their slider rails, but not sure how to get those to fit the brackets. thanks

Hello everybody! First post here.... I have a '73 Super Beetle and I've just purchased the seats from a 2000 New Beetle. How can I put those seats into my SB? The new ones are leather and much more comfortable than the original seats. I need some detailed info on how to do this! Any info is appreciated! Thanks!! |

Siromega, sorry for late reply. The gauge is autometer - carbon fiber series. For the Dash inserts, i get it from Flat4. Last edited by BugOholic; February 29th 2008 at 03:01. |

Hey Guys! I installed at my 1200er jubi and at my 75er T2 Baywindow Porsche 924er seats. Take a look at the pic right there. Or take a look at my homepage: http://www.aircooled4ever.wg.am Your 1200jubi |

So I finally had the adapters made for the new seats and here is the end result. A friend of a friend made me the seat brackets from scratch and I am more than happy with how they turned out. Now all I need to do is repray the pans under the seats since I had to remove the factory floor tar board and now 30 years of surface rust is visible. Still unsure if I am going to por-15 it or spray Rhino bedliner. Also need to have the adapters powdercoated eventually but for now they are going to be spray painted. I have to say that these are some of the most comfortable seats I have had and the fact that they were a gift from a car show sponsor makes it even more so. I'm off to paint the floor boards now and take the seats back out!! Seats are Yonaka Motorsports Ronin Racing Seats that are just as comfy as they look and they recline!!!
