Really sorry to hear that. Feel bad about it, even though I couldn't help the mix up in plans as I told you...
Well, the bug will be even a little faster next year and have a roll-cage, so when it happens, it will be even better

Just got word from Armin Klein that he will be there as well with his turbo type 4 Käfer!
As will at least 2 more other (german style) bugs from the Netehrlands. This one: www.turboboxer.de
