i have fitted an oil cooler in my fan housing type 1 remember without modding the fan housing
wher i live a guy near me flys vw powered planes and he use to make the adaptors which i managed to get one of him to retain std cooler also running thermostat and external cooler with mine just hope it will be ok i have ran it up on my test bed and did seem ok
