I am looking at your head cc information and i am seeing 59cc for one head and 56cc for the other is this correct, isn't this going to pose a problem for you when you try to tune it.

By the way nice setup this engine should be nice. Saw on jake's site where he did a 2.4ltr also with a 84mm crank and some 5.9inch rods. The engine made 220HP. Are you using 5.5inch rods on your 82mm crank.

the final camber volume was 54cc for all 4. The sharpie notes were left on along the way. I should have hit them with some brake part cleaner. My rods are 5.7 with chevy main journals.

O.k. great, your rod ratio is 1.76 : 1, good. How wide is the engine? I know for a stock type 1 engine the measurement from the crank center to connecting rod pin center is 211mm. I can't remember if the type 4 is 207mm or 209mm.

So is your engine wider than a stock t4 engine.

Yes it is wider than stock. I forget how much shim I have under each cylinder. I have it writen in my notes but I am at work right now. It is somewere close to .100" per jug. There is no step in the heads so that ads to the shim size too.

I was able to modify a Scat linkage kit and fab a bracket to mount the center bellcrank to. It looks like it should function better than the other dog legged center pull linkage I have and look cleaner than the hex bar set I have.

I also relocated my center console and fitted the new Bug Tech shifter.

I got the engine up on the test stand but when I went to mount the exhaust, it hits the stand frame. I will have to pull the engine back off and re-engineer the test stand frame. That will have to wait as I am back to work tomorrow and then off to Mexico again for a relaxing week in the lap of luxury before Herbie X comes back to us for some upgrades.

I like the center console setup, looks sharp. Hows the feel of that shifter?

Herbie X and upgrade are two words I never thought I'd hear together.
