I don't know whether there may be a link here but the brake shoes are as near as damn it identical to the '97 BMW 528 rear shoes so it wouldn't surprise me to find that ATE (or whoever) supplied the same kit to Porsche and BMW. the BMW tuff should be less rare.

I hope the shoe hardware is the same, as I found all the porsche bits in the 'pelican parts' website, springs are $4 and $8 each, but the little assembly that operates the shoes are $88 each and the adjusters work out at $60 each ![]() I'm also still in touch with the guy who sold me the alloy arms, and he is always breaking Porsche, so I'll see if he has any of the bits I need in his workshop.

I'm with Ricola that stuff is expensive but also with EvilC that you might find some of the BMW stuff kicking around.
Complete set ups are cheap compared to buying bits on their own unfortunatly. The Porsche fraternity aren't "cheap" look at type IV motor cases on a specialist forums in comparison to a VW stamped item. Find yourself a breakers with a front end wreck and go pulling could be the cheapest option. Springs and ****e go cheap from a non-specialist local breaker. Ak |
