Joel and I spent 8 hours with the Porter Cable Polisher, 5 different pads/medium cut/fine cut/swirl remover/machine glaze/wax on wax off and it looks damn good again. I think I will fix my self induced electrical gremlin, clean the interior and try to take it to the Summit Racing Cruise-In on Monday night and get some tune time with the LM1.

I was always taught that you wanted some good break in before fine-tuning...
Esp. with a wideband, because if the rings haven't seated, you could foul the sensor. I'm in that boat right now. Got a decent baseline tune using traditional methods, And the LM-1 is burning a hole thru the toolbox drawer. Hate to be running it lean, or have one hole with an air leak, or... Gotta get some miles on, tho! By the third tank of gas, it is running SO much smoother now. Sounds different, feels different... Amazing.. |
