911 Rotors???
will these work with 944 hubs, they are stock 911 rotors from 70-83?
Do these mount over the hub or under? BTW...anyone know the diameter of these? I know the thickness it 20mm....what calipers can be used with these?

The fronts are the same for the 911SC (78-82) and early 944. Maybe more years of the 911 as well but I do not know the exact full range. The early 944 rotors are cheap because of this common bond - read: volume.
The rears I have no idea. Check www.pelicanparts.com look at the part numbers listed for the 944 and 911. I cannot tell what brand they are in the picture but I would only get Zimmerman or Brembo, of course German made. The fronts are 11.1" and rear 11.3" for the early 944. Hope this helps,

Vujade,
Those fronts bolt on from the back of the hub, the rears go on from the outside. You will need the early 944 hubs on the rear and 944 hubs for the front but I think 911 front hubs are the same. You could use early 944 single piston calipers with those for sure, probably others with some work. I have a spare pair of early 944 hubs, they are dirty but unmolested if you need them. ken |
