I'm in for one so long as it's bolt on. I don't like that some of the other kafer style braces are weld on.

That was one of our concerns also. I too want it to be bolt on, as does Jon (owner of Topline). Sandeep, is bolt on okay with you?

Hmmm....isn't there a company that does that already????

Let me think...........oh yes.......TGFab for 250$ from AC.net. You might be able to get it cheaper from them directly.

Honestly....I said it on the STF already....copying something is always cheaper. I consider the TGBrace a copy but he made it a near bolt in. There is a new brace for 150$ I believe by ErikTheRed from the STF and he advertises it on the Samba.
Soon we will have 10 compaines that do braces.
Topline should put in the effort to make the camber plates instead.

My 2 cents.

Alex

Well just like we wanted to make this forum instead of just using the Eurolook forum on STFs... Topline wants their own version.

Everyone wants their own product or design, and none of us are reinventing the wheel here. Personally, I like to buy all my products from the same manufacturer (not just a reseller like ac.net) and until Kerscher moves to the USA it's Topline for me.

By the way, it would be in no way a copy. Jon @ Topline is very much against that and is an innovator in parts. He originated the adjustable snap ring strut design in 1978 and shortly after "Empi" (not the original company from the 60's) copied that design. Jon didn't like that when it happened to him and I know he would never do the same, we've discussed this many times.

I hope you accept my apology Supe.
It was not meant to be against Topline at all and I do not doubt their quality.

There was already a heated debate on the STF about braces and mounts. People are really getting cheap. They want everything and they do not want to pay. This will hurt quality. Also private people will start to produce their own kits and sell them...and what happens if somehing goes wrong.

I just got a little upset because there will be another brace.
There are some many things that are needed that do not exist.
Those camber plates are an excellent idea. I would rather have them make the front braces a la Heigo because they might be hard to get in the US.

Rear coilovers would be another item. Better sway bars with better adjustabilty like the 911 guys use.

This was not ment to defend the original......but I find that there are already a few options out there...even for the ones that do not want to spend that much.

It's cool Alex, and funny thing after I read this thread I went and saw the one Bren posted about that racer from the 1970's and he was making the point that it's all been done before, and I agree. However, I will talk to Jon more about making the camber plates.

However, I do know how you feel... this same type of thing happens with websites.

Anybody ever heard of a company called ISP West? They have a bolt on kafer brace on ebay. But it appears to be new so i dunno how well it fits. It's not on the company's website..but go to ebay and search kafer...you'll find it.
