i've got 993 brakes, what wheels will fit?

I've been calling around to people who sell one piece 5x130 wheels, but they all tell me that the offset will be so off, that i'd need to use alot of spacers, and that the "unsprung weight" will give way to poor handling, and undesired effects. I'm looking for a wheel that will look good and keep the ride somewhat bearable (17" if possible, for some reason I think that 18s will be too big for the street) and will not require a spacer.
