Will my wheels still fit?
Hi,
I'm just about to convert my rear brakes to 944 turbo ones with 4 pot turbo calipers. At present I have type 3 drums re-drilled to 5x130, and a set of porsche 15x7" fuchs. The tranny's using short axels. Will the wheels still fit and clear the brakes? I do have a pair fo 17x7's, but don't have rubber yet. Maybe i'll have to wait to do the conversion until I can afford a set of 4 new tyres...? |

i'm can't say 100% since i haven't tried it myself, but i am pretty sure 15's are not going to clear. you will need to go at least 16.
if you go with Kumho's you can get into some 17's relatively cheap with good quality.

ah well, I guess I just have to a mock up fit and see how it goes. I currently have pirelli on my 15" wheels and have nad no problems and great wet and dry traction so i'll probably end up with them again unless someone at the tyre shop twists my arm into looking at the high end bridgestone or dunlop's. we'll see.

I agree with Zen, look at the Kumho 712s... Unless you really want to pay for S0-2s?
