Porsche wheels early type 2

Has anyone had any experience with fitting Porsche 17's on an early type 2? Could you give a brief description of the problems, if any, that you encountered? I'm in the market for one and I'm looking to go GL for this project. Thanks.

not done it myself, but i helped a friend fit 16" cup1's to a 64 doublecab. he just used wide5-porsche5 adapters of the correct thickness and bolted them right up.. theres were no problems as he chose a suitable tyre to start with.. i see no reason why 17's would be any different.

You need the right offset if keeping RGBs in the rear to clear the fenders. 50mm+ as the 23mm will not work.

If you are running the drop kit that kills the RGBs a 23mm wheel in 7" fits.
