68 suspension mods

Okay guys
I have never owner a beetle with a beam Both my previous beetles have been supers. Can the suspension on a 68 beetle be made to handle anywhere near the Super with all new swaybars/bushings/stuts/springs. Or should I just find a super if I want that kind of handling for my project?

i think they can be, but you'll spent a bit of money to get it there.

remeber the g challege, there was a std and super. the std was a total ringer, but out handled a lot of the cars. the super if you put as much into it should handle a bit better, but in stock form the super is definately better.

oh as far as should you go and get a super instead, well.. remember the std is a little bit lighter. Again depends on the cars purpose and how much $$$ you want to spend.

If you want it to handle with a little bit of money and time well a super is hard to beat. If your looking for an all out track car well either will work, and then theres anything in the middle.
