86 944 rear rotor size???

Curious...on Vdubcustoms website...it goes 83-85 na....then 87+Turbo....

What is the size of an 86 944T rear disc rotor? Do I just use an 83-85 NA rear rotor?

I'm finishing up my brakes and need rear rotors. I was actually thinking of buying a complete set of X-drilled or slotted rotors, but considering I have 87 fronts, I'm kinda mismatching a bit here....so I'll just wait till I need new ones considering the front pads and rotors are still in GREAT condition...why buy new ones, when they work fine????

Anybody know the size???

86 944 turbo rear are 24mm thick and 299mm diameter, same as some 928 and 996 (which is why I used them). They bolt straight up to the early 944 rear trailing arms as they have the correct bell depth.

Wait a second, so the rear brake rotors are as large as the 87 Turbo fronts?????

87 Turbo fronts are 299 mm. I know you obviouslt can't use an 87 Turbo front disc on the rear(or can you????) but damn...same size eh????

strange isn't it. On the early 944 the fronts are actually smaller than the rears!

The front brakes are smaller in diameter than the rear brakes but the fronts are much thicker.
