Alternative to 944 turbo calipers

If performing a 944 brake conversion using CB dropped spindles, are there any other Porsche calipers you can use? Are 944 calipers the same as another Porsche's?

I think some 928 parts were the same.

Really the early 944 brakes are pretty jinky compared to the 911 units. (I have rebuilt both so this qualifies me to say that )

The 944 Turbo calipers are a totally different animal.
