911 rear trailing arms on a Beetle

Don't suppose there's much point in fitting 911 rear trailing arms, since the 944 parts are almost identical.

But maybe some advantage due to weight or whatever.

So I wondered has anyone tried this before?
And what are the advantages, if any ?
