Top notch parts!!
Alex, I want to thank you again for helping with my new parts from Martin. The products are "top notch" pieces for sure (beautiful machining). These will make my 915 gearbox install alot easier, even though I didn't take advantage of all the conversion pieces you have to offer. Here are some pic's of the parts. First, is the cross member, second, the nose cone, and third, the throwout bearing guide tube (allows use of late model VW TO bearing).

Wrenchride, it looks like we are on a similar path, but I am only at the thinking and spending stage.
Current thought is to cut out the centre of the torsion tube in order to be able to shift the Suby engine and 915 box forward about 75mm both to to reduce polar moment of inertia and shift the heavier engine forward. Coil over rear suspension bits have already been bought. Presumably you have decided not to cut the torsion tube and use the shorter nose cone? |

Hodhead..
If interested PM your email address.. I have a scanned article (in German) but it will show the path that one of Martin's college's went.. Subaru turbo Motor to 915 in a beetle chasis.. Use it as FYI or food for thougth.. Take care, Alex Dan glad you got everything... I know it can be tedious, but hopefully you felt comfortable and involved in the process.. We definitely appreciate the good word.. Thanks again..

hoghead, cutting the torsion housing severly weakens the chassis. Unless you add support back to reconnect the two halves.
The service was great Alex. Might need one of those 911 shifters, if I dont like the stock 911 I got.
