Rich the hole in front of the trans is forthe shifter rod & coupling if you have a look at the earlier pics youwould see that plate goes right across the tunnel.

does anyone know the orignal weight of a beetle from the factory.I have a book about vdubs but it list 3 different weights from 820-862kgs.

height setup for 915 box.
locating the 915 box .its 75mm forward but what height should I go for .where it sit,s now the bottom of the gearbox is level with the gearbox forks or should I move it up higher.any ideas welcome....
