hydraulic operated 3500lb clutch and one-off flywheel
(thurston fabricated gear shifter and linkage)

The above are the things of interest. Did he use a 240mm (stock) size disk?
Ring gear on the pp like 915 or on flywheel...that sort of things
I would shorten the bell housing like some porsche owners do that transplant these into pre-87 911's... since the pinion shaft is rather short, you'd think the shaft should be kept the length it has (unlike the porsche conversion of i.e. patrick motorsports).
Then you'd have to fabricate really s/ th custom, but...the box is then not longer than a 915...and THAT already fits without cutting torsion tubes in my 1303...
See the point I am getting at?

Still, its 20 kilos heavier and the 915 won't break either...better put a high quality LSD in that and be done with it
