When I was working on the left pillar today, I noticed that the right pillar (out of a '66 car that already was welded to the heater channel) had a different shape, Damn... how Manny differences can you have >
.The left pillar is ready, well maybe a few tab's with a hammer away from being ready. ![]() ![]() On these picture's you can see that the pillar out of the '66 car has a sharp bent, a '56 car does not have this bent. ![]() ![]() So after I finished the left pillar I took out the grinder again and started to make the '66 look like a '56. The result; '66 metal that looks like a '56. 8) ![]() ![]() Paul.

Had a day off today, this meant I was still working only not at the office >
sometimes I hate customers.Between telephone calls I did some work on the oval. cut the pillar along the line and left the inner plate. ![]() ![]() I had to cut out some more rust. ![]() a little test fit, when it all fits I can weld on a piece of flat with the inner plate underneed. ![]() some more test fitting. ![]() And where getting close. ![]() The innerwings are different to the original oval wings, but i have to cut out the most to make room for the 914/911 front suspension..
