New beetle antenna on old beetle

Has anyone ever put a new beetle antenna on an old beetle (on the back of the roof, just like the new 1998+ beetles)? Does anyone have any pictures of this?

I did audio installs for FORD for a summer..
The antenna was a standard R&R with the rest of the crap I took out.. But the antenna was fine..
I used it to get into my 04 Ranger when I locked my self out..
after I left the Job I installed it in my b ug..
My A-1 Sidewinder was a lil loud so i pulled the sound system..
Peace Troy

There is a pretty good shot of the one on my old Supa in my members profile, I don't know how to link it. Worked better then the stock one. I'm not going to do that mod to my next Supa, though.

i just put one on the vw i am building for someone. the hole for a genuine vw is a square hole with a coaxial antenna connection. i guess we are going to have to get the rest of the wire from somewhere.it does look really cool.
